Here’s some old skool MMA action from “Hercules in New York” starring everyone’s favorite Gubernatorial badass.

After gauging distance and some standup exchange, The Governator clinches and executes a flawless takedown. He gets the mount (I think… it’s kind of dark), softens his ursine opponent with some ground and pound, then transitions to some sort of front choke. Ridiculous music and bad acting make this one quite a gem. Hercules! Hercules!

I love the bear suit and the fast forward filming. Hercules’ takedown is pretty tight.

Cool - enjoyed the video! After watching Pumping Iron, I’ve been wanting to check out his early stuff, like Hercules in New York and Stay Hungry. Though admittedly, I’d be doing things like Franco Columbu spotting rather than paying much attention to the acting. ;)

Having said that, he got a Golden Globe or something for Stay Hungry - best newcomer, I think, though I’d have to check Pumping Iron (the book rather than the film). Which is kinda surprising, though he did a great job in Terminator and Conan. Arnie rocks at acting when he doesn’t have to talk. :D
