Randy Couture on Pros vs. Joes

The Natural made an appearance on Spike TV’s Pros vs. Joes last night. The contestants each spent 5 minutes grappling with him and whoever tapped the least amount of times would then win that competition. Man I couldn’t stop giggling watching these guys get torn through by Randy. Talk about some sick wrestling takedowns from a 40 year old.

Part of me admits that the idea of pitting these untrained athletes against a grappling/MMA legend is completely outrageous, but the other part of me just watches and giggles. I know it’s been a while but c’mon I’m busy over here, people! On Randy’s coming out of retirement to fight Tim Sylvia… personally I don’t think it’s a good idea. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see Randy beat the shit out of that graceless gorilla, but I also think that Randy is in a good place right now. He doesn’t really have much else to prove to me, but I suppose it might just be something that he feels he has to do. I think I speak for most of the MMA-loving community when I say that Randy is a legend and has been a truly outstanding representative for the adoption and success of MMA in mainstream society.
