Buakaw takes world max final…again.

After having just heard of Buakaw and his current domination in K-1 Max, I’ve found a few articles about his fights. I’ve also found a few of his fights on YouTube and Google Video. It’s great watching a true Thai-style competitor matched up against the K-1/Western styles of kickboxing.

Pramuk took the K-1 World Max 2004, and was a finalist in 2005. This year, he defeated Yoshihiro Sato, Drago, and Andy Souwer in the final round to win the whole thing. Find a detailed write-up over at the K-1 site.

His speed and devastating kicks have clearly worked for him, but in typical Thai fashion, Buakaw tends to drop his hands, and I’m willing to bet that this will be his achilles heel.
